At Sofy, to ensure your safety when using products that come into direct contact with your skin, we conduct checks based on basic regulations for quality control across all processes, from material procurement to product development, manufacturing, sales, and disposal.

At the material procurement stage, we conduct risk assessments for chemical substances that may potentially affect human health or the environment.

During the product development stage, we conduct risk assessments that take into account actual usage conditions and disposal methods.

In addition, for sanitary pads made with materials that have passed our safety checks, we also carry out product use tests.

Sofy does not conduct animal testing for safety evaluations (including outsourced testing), and has no plans to do so in the future.

However, this does not apply in cases where Sofy is held accountable to society for safety-related issues, or when requests are made by administrative authorities in certain countries or regions.

Sanitary pads contain high polymer absorbents in order to retain menstrual fluid. Before use, these absorbents are in powder form and are combined with pulp absorbent materials. There is no need for concern if a small amount comes into contact with the skin.

If a large amount is accidentally ingested, there is a risk of choking. If any material is in the mouth, please remove it immediately. If swallowed, have the child drink plenty of fluids and consult a doctor as soon as possible.

When high polymer absorbents absorb fluid, they expand and become gel-like. Even if they enter the esophagus or stomach, they will not absorb fluids inside the body and will be naturally excreted. Therefore, there is no safety concern.

However, as the substance may contain bodily fluids, there could be hygienic concerns. Please consult a doctor if necessary.

Sanitary pads contain high polymer absorbents to retain menstrual fluid. We have confirmed that these materials are safe even when they come into contact with the skin or mucous membranes. Please wash the area with cold or lukewarm water.

Some materials used in our products undergo a bleaching process during manufacturing. However, we have confirmed that chlorine gas is not used in the bleaching process.

At Sofy, we conduct risk assessments regarding dioxins, which are considered among the most toxic chlorine-related compounds to humans.

As a result, we have confirmed that the amount of dioxins contained in our products is far lower than the levels commonly found in water or the atmosphere, and that there is no impact on human health.
